The neckline and cleavage skin referred to as the décolletage has become the hallmark of sexuality, sensuality, and female beauty throughout history. Is the neckline and cleavage epidermis that the most neglected when it comes to skincare?
Lack of consciousness that I believe. Once we look in the mirror We’re utilized to carefully analyzing our face, but we still don’t view neckline skin or our cleavage from the mirror. Still, the neck and cleavage is the indicator of skin in my plastic surgery clinic. <!–more->
Why Does the Cleavage and Neckline Age so Quickly?
O Sun Exposure- since the chest region is slanted out away from our face, the sun’s rays strike the chest straight. The torso skin burns often before the face whenever you are out in the sun. We’re even more inclined to spend more time applying sunblock to thighs, arms, and our own faces compared to the chest area. Sun damage causes red stains brown spots and blood vessels, and wrinkles on the skin. Since neckline and the cleavage get more sunlight, skin aging changes are accelerated.
O Thin SkinCare – Our skin around the neckline, chest, and cleavage is a lot thinner than the skin on our back, arms and legs. Thin skin is more susceptible to sun damage and changes because the sun can penetrate into the vulnerable dermis, the skin layer where effects are striking. How Can We Remove Brown Spots, blood vessels, and Wrinkles in the Cleavage and Neckline or even Décolletage?
O Intense Pulsed Light-IPL-Photo Facial-Intense Pulsed Light (IPL), also known as Photo Facial is a wonder remedy for aging changes of the cleavage and neckline. IPL is not a laser. IPL uses a flash of light that is to target brown pigment and blood vessels in the skin. Whenever the IPL light hits a blood vessel or the pigment, the pigment breaks up or shuts the blood vessel. The entire impact of this IPL on the brown stains or blood vessels takes. Three IPL treatments scheduled 5 weeks apart are required for complete elimination of blood vessels and the spots. Outcomes are spectacular. An sun damaged neckline and cleavage could be restored to a younger appearance that was blemish-free. I really don’t understand why people do not have those IPL treatments. What is laser skin care treatment?
O Retin A Topical Skin Care- Retin A is the only topical skincare product that has been demonstrated to prevent and reverse aging skin changes and sun damage. Why is everybody not using Retin A? I assume since Retin A is expensive and requires a prescription. But most people spend substantial amounts of over-the-counter anti-aging skin creams that do not work and don’t have any scientific evidence of efficacy. Dermatologists and Plastic Surgeons know the benefits of Retin A, that they prescribe it. Use Retin A on the neck, your face, and torso. Your face requires not the Retin A than the torso area. O Microdermabrasion-Microdermabrasion is the best, most effective type of profound exfoliation. Exfoliation removes dead and sun damaged skin cells in the surface of your skin. After the skin cells have been removed the younger skin cells have been shown because the skin cells are observable, and your skin looks fresher and younger. Microdermabrasion also stimulates the skin to develop new cells that are fresh. Microdermabrasion is also slightly irritating to the deeper skin dermis. This irritation stimulates the dermis to create collagen to substitute the collagen that has been missing from skin aging and sun damage. Retin A, Vitamin C Serum and other topical skin care agents are absorbed readily from the skin area after microdermabrasion removes damaged and dead skin cells from the skin surface. Penetration and better absorption of the topical agents improve their functionality. I recommend that my patients have microdermabrasion of the chest and neck area when they’ve a microdermabrasion.
Lasers Are Too Powerful for Your Chest Place – Laser resurfacing goes too deep to be used on the chest region. As I mentioned before the skin of the chest and Décolletage is very thin. After laser treatment, healing occurs in what’s called skin appendages from cells. Skin appendages are oil glands within the skin, sweat glands, and the hair follicles. The chest area in girls has few skin appendages and is very thin, thus there is little potential for recovery of the torso region. The exact same is true with all the palms and also to some lesser degree the neck. New, more contemporary fractional laser resurfacing is much more gentle, generates less skin damage and Erbium laser resurfacing that is fractional may be used carefully on the neck. I’m not comfortable yet using any laser on the torso. The IPL works beautifully on the chest, so there is not any need to take the risk of using the laser.
The Best Way To Prevent Aging of the Chest and Neck
O Sun block-Be sure to put sunblock on your chest and throat when you put it on your face. Re-apply every hour when.
O Sun Avoidance- From 11 o’clock to 4 o’clock put on a cover within your torso if in sunlight. Once the sun is most powerful, better yet, go into a shady area during these hours. Put on a wide-brimmed hat that shades your face and chest when in the sun. It protects you and can be much more of a style statement than your baseball hat.
O Never Use A-Sun Reflector-the shiny aluminum foil on cardboard sunlight reflectors which people use to tan their face, can fry your torso. Never rely on them.
O Prevent burial Booths-If you haven’t gotten the message regarding tanning booths to listen. I don’t care what wavelength they utilize, UVB, UVA- both UV rays cause changes in skin and I believe they can lead to skin cancer. If you need to go to a booth please wear a sunblock that is strong. Sunblock prevents a sunburn-you can tan, it just takes 5-7 days to observe the tan. The color you see your skin is damaged and immediately after tanning is a burn and aging changes will occur. You won’t see blood vessels, spots, and wrinkles once you escape the tanning booth, but I promise you they’ll come, certainly after a few decades.
